ABB Symphony Plus S+ I/O IOR810 S800 Input/Output Gateway

  • The IOR810 is a dedicated gateway module that links Symphony Plus SD-Series and HR-Series controllers to the S800 I/O system, serving as a key interoperability component for both Symphony Plus and Symphony Harmony control architectures. It unlocks a flexible alternative for integrating S800 I/O into these systems while retaining full Sequence of Events (SOE) functionality. Notably, the timestamp accuracy of SOE data is dictated by the technical specifications of each individual S800 SOE digital input module type.
  • Functioning as a critical communication bridge, the IOR810 interfaces the HN800 I/O bus—available in both electrical and fibre optic variants—with the S800 I/O module bus, which operates exclusively over fibre optics. Its core role is to scan connected S800 I/O modules and relay real-time data back to the Symphony Plus controller via the HN800 bus. The module supports connections to up to seven S800 cluster modems over the fibre module bus, with each cluster modem capable of hosting up to 12 S800 I/O modules. When paired with an electrical HN800 bus, the maximum distance between the IOR810 and the Symphony Plus controller extends to 30 metres.
