SEC401-51 Yokogawa ESB Bus Coupler Module

  • The SEC401-51 plays a key role in microwave system applications, where a common requirement is splitting a single channel of microwave power into multiple channels in precise proportional ratios. This is what we refer to as the power allocation problem, and the components designed to fulfill this function are called power distribution components or couplers. The most widely used types in practical applications include directional couplers, power dividers, and a variety of microwave branching devices.
  • An optocoupler, by contrast, is an electro-optical-electrical conversion device that transmits electrical signals through optical media. It is composed of two core parts: a light source and a photoelectric receiver. These two components are packaged together in a single sealed housing, with a transparent insulator separating them to ensure signal isolation while enabling light transmission. The pins connected to the light source serve as the input terminals, and the pins linked to the photoelectric receiver act as the output terminals. In most optocouplers, the light source is typically a light-emitting diode (LED), while the photoelectric receiver can be a photodiode, phototransistor, or similar photosensitive component.
  • Optocouplers come in a wide range of types to suit different application needs, with the most common ones being photodiode type, phototransistor type, photoresistor type, light-controlled thyristor type, photoelectric Darlington type, and integrated circuit type. As illustrated in Figure 1 below, their external packaging also varies, including metal round shell packaging and plastic dual in-line packaging, among others.
