Bently Nevada 330500 Velomitor Velocity Sensor

  • Product Type: The Bently Nevada 330500 Velomitor measures absolute (relative to free space) bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. Unlike moving-coil velocity transducers, such as the Bently Nevada Seismoprobe family of velocity transducers, Velomitor Piezo-velocity sensors are specialized piezoelectric accelerometers that incorporate embedded integrated electronics in a solid-state design. Because they incorporate solid-state electronics and have no moving parts, they do not suffer from mechanical degradation and wear, and can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or at any other angle of orientation.
  • Specifications: It has a sensitivity of 100mV/in/s (4mV/mm/s), a frequency response range of 10Hz-10kHz, and an operating temperature range of -54℃ to +121℃. It is an IEPE (Integrated Electronic Piezoelectric) type with an output, powered by 18-30Vdc and a current consumption of ≤10mA.
  • Functional Features: It offers high sensitivity and wide-bandwidth response, enabling accurate capture of dynamic changes in equipment vibration. With a stainless steel housing and IP68 protection rating, it has strong electromagnetic interference resistance and adapts to harsh industrial environments with oil contamination, dust, and high temperatures. It supports long-term continuous monitoring, provides stable signal output, and facilitates integration with control systems such as PLC and DCS.
  • Application Scenarios: Widely used in rotating mechanical equipment in power, petrochemical, and metallurgical industries, such as steam turbine generators, centrifugal compressors, and fans. It monitors the real-time vibration status of equipment, timely detects potential faults like bearing wear, unbalance, and misalignment, and ensures the safe and stable operation of equipment.
