  • The Woodward 8200-226 Servo Position Controller (SPC) is a dedicated servo valve driver that accepts position demand signals via either DeviceNet or 4–20 mA analog input. It delivers precise positioning control for both proportional and integrating servo valves, making it suitable for motion and actuation systems that require high accuracy and repeatability. This unit is an original product by Woodward Inc. and is available through AX Control Inc. based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
  • This controller supports reliable position feedback by processing signals from up to two redundant AC devices or a single DC device, helping to maintain stable and accurate valve positioning under varying operating conditions. Configuration, tuning, and parameter monitoring are all managed through Windows-based software, allowing users to adjust control parameters and monitor performance remotely from a PC.
  • For safe and reliable operation, the 8200-226 requires a 5 A, 125 V protective fuse capable of withstanding a 20 A, 100 ms inrush current at power-up. During installation, the unit must be placed away from high-voltage or high-current equipment and areas where water exposure could occur. Following these guidelines helps ensure proper performance, long-term reliability, and safe operation of the controller.
