  • The Meggitt Vibro-Meter IOC4T is a dedicated input/output card designed to interface with the VM600 series MPC4 machinery protection module. Installed at the rear of a VM600 (ABE04x) rack, it connects directly to the backplane via two connectors, and is always paired with a specific MPC4 card, mounted directly behind it in the rack. Operating in slave mode, the IOC4T communicates with its host MPC4 through connector P2 using an Industry Pack (IP) interface, acting purely as a signal conduit for the protection module.
  • The front panel of the IOC4T (located at the rack’s rear) features a terminal strip that serves as the primary connection point for transducer and conditioner cables, as well as for all signals to and from external control systems. This card includes built-in protection for all I/O signals against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and voltage surges, and fully complies with relevant electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards for industrial use.
  • The IOC4T’s core function is to route raw dynamic vibration and speed signals from field sensors to the MPC4 for processing. Once the MPC4 has analyzed and conditioned these signals, the processed data is sent back to the IOC4T and made available on its terminal strip. For dynamic signals specifically, four on-board digital-to-analog converters (DACs) deliver calibrated, scaled analog outputs for integration with monitoring or control systems.
